Wishram, WA A northbound BNSF train creeps over the Columbia River drawbridge, leaving the Oregon Trunk Sub and entering Wishram Yard.

Cliffs, WA BNSF 8088 East climbs the 0.20% grade through Cliffs, WA, a short distance west of the John Day Dam.

Roosevelt, WA BNSF 8088 slows as it prepares to enter the siding at Roosevelt, where it will drop its trainload of trash and return west with doublestacks loaded with empty containers.

Wallula, WA CP 9132 West rolls past an historical monument near Walla Walla, WA.

Port Kelley, WA CP 9132 West follows the twists and turns of the south bank of the Columbia River. A stopped BNSF freight is visible on the north bank.

Cold Springs Jct., OR Having just crossed into Oregon, CP 9132 West is dwarfed by the tall bluffs characteristic of the Columbia River Gorge east of The Dalles.

Eureka Flat, WA Summer wheat covers the gently rolling hills of Eastern Washington's Eureka Flat.

Pataha, WA Having left Ayer Jct. a short time ago, and now in full dynamics to hold its train back on the steep descent from Ayer Jct., a Camas Prairie Railnet eastbound passes under UP's Joso Bridge and heads for Riparia, WA.

Pataha, WA Lyons Ferry State Park lies in the shadow of WA 261's cantilever bridge over the Snake River. In the distance is the Camas Prairie bridge over the river, with the train above crossing it.
