At approximately 7:45pm on the evening of November 16, 2006, a tower crane located at a construction site at the intersection of 108th Avenue NE and NE 4th Street in Bellevue, WA, suddenly collapsed. The crane fell on a bearing just east of due south. During the collapse, the tower crushed the corner of an adjacent office building, the short boom caused minor damage to an office building, and the long boom fell across 108th Avenue NE; the end of the long boom landed on the roof of an apartment building, which tragically caused the death of the occupant of the top-floor apartment.

This collection of photographs depicts the aftermath of the accident as viewed from a nearby office building.
